Project Development Updates
We are currently in the transitioning from the Design Development to the Construction Documentation stage of our bond projects.

December 19: Sweeny ISD, PBK Architects and Weaver & Jacobs Constructors, the Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR), held a conference call to recap the design status for proposed approval during the January 14 Board meeting.

December 20: PBK released a design package for Weaver & Jacobs to prepare a preliminary estimate of the project.

January 9: The district, PBK and Weaver & Jacobs met to review the proposed cost estimate generated based on the December 20 design package, confirming that the project’s costs are within the bond’s allocated funds.

January 14: PBK and Weaver & Jacobs presented the Design Development drawings during the January Board Meeting and obtained the Sweeny ISD Board’s approval to proceed.

January 16: The district held a meeting with PBK and included our high school’s Technology department to discuss and coordinate the design of the project’s audio and visual systems.

January 30: The district held a meeting with PBK to review and discuss the project's site development, following the coordination efforts over the past two months.
Design & Progress Update: The project's scope has been successfully defined by the ownership and design team. PBK's focus now shifts to coordinating and documenting project elements while closely collaborating with Weaver & Jacobs to manage costs. Over the next few months, the project project drawings will be developed through ongoing coordination meetings, ensuring the project stays on schedule.
